It’s not every day that a local K-pop fan gets the chance to interact with their bias, whether in person or online. Even when idols are in the country, the chances of bumping into them are still incredibly slim.
However, this lucky Malaysian fangirl, @/aisyah.09 on Instagram, had the rare opportunity to have a video call with her bias, Jackson Wang (王嘉尔/잭슨), with the help of her father. While working as a Grab driver and picking up a customer around Kuala Lumpur, the father realised that his passenger was none other than the idol himself.

In an exclusive interview with Aisyah by a local media outlet, she shared that her father had once driven Jackson Wang as a Grab customer, during which the idol accidentally left his AirPods in the car. After returning the AirPods, Jackson gave a simple autograph to the Grab driver as a gesture of gratitude.
A few days later, Aisyah’s father once again picked up the GOT7 (갓세븐) member after he booked him for a ride. Seizing this golden opportunity, her father requested a quick video call with his daughter. In the screen-recorded video call, Aisyah had a touching interaction with the idol, expressing that she had been a longtime fan ever since his days in GOT7. The fan even got to take a virtual selfie with the Hong Kong-born idol, adding to netizen’s envy.
This is not the first time Jackson has shown his love for Malaysian fans. Previously, he was seen treating local fans to free meals while dining at a restaurant in Petaling Jaya. The singer’s genuine and heartwarming interactions with fans have endeared him to many, creating unforgettable memories for those who have had the chance to meet him.
