It’s been a long time coming – but after years of making a name for himself in the music industry, homegrown DJ, Blink, is finally holding his first-ever solo concert! The established DJ’s first concert, aptly titled “First Love”, will be held this September at Zepp Kuala Lumpur.
Blink, whose real name is Lau Hoe Yin, shared the exciting news on his social media pages. The “First Love” concert is the musician’s first solo headlining concert since his entry into the music world. The concert is supported by 3Q Group, D&Dream Property Group and Ticketmelon as the official ticketing partner. The concert is slated for 20th September 2024 (Friday) at Zepp Kuala Lumpur.
While Blink is best known as one-half of the renowned EDM duo Goldfish and Blink, he has also made a name as a solo DJ, having performed at several notable events such as the Heineken® Refresh concert in June. When he’s not skillfully remixing songs from artists like BLACKPINK, Jay Chou and Young Captain, Blink is busy taking charge as an entrepreneur with ventures like matcha cafe, HEJAÜ.
It’s no surprise his fans are excited for the event, but none is more excited than the respectable DJ himself. In his Instagram post, Blink wrote, “Been manifesting this for many years and it’s really happening. I’m sure most of you who have been following me know how much this means to me.” Blink also revealed that the show will feature local acts 3P and Priscilla Abby as special guests, adding that there will be other surprise appearances.
