Eric Tsang (曾志偉), a veteran star in Hong Kong’s film and television industry, is celebrated for his acting skills and distinctive personality. Recently, a photo of him with a female internet celebrity at the grand opening ceremony of the “Crazy Young Brother” event sparked a heated online discussion.
On 3rd June (Monday), the Xiamen branch of Three Sheep Media celebrated its grand opening, with Eric Tsang attending as a special guest. He interacted with various celebrities present there, displaying his professionalism and friendliness. While his presence significantly boosted the event’s star power, it also sparked some controversy and discomfort among attendees.
After the event, photos of the 71-year-old actor and influencer Qiao Mei quickly spread online. She dressed elegantly in a light-coloured outfit and appeared charming. However, observant netizens noticed that the actor was seemingly glancing at her chest.
The celebrity’s subsequent micro-movements, including tongue gestures and facial expressions, were scrutinised by netizens. Screenshots suggested these actions might have been unintentional, with his height potentially contributing to the misunderstanding. According to iNews, he has previously faced criticism for inappropriate behaviour, such as touching female stars’ breasts on variety shows.
Given his extensive tenure in the entertainment industry, Eric Tsang, as a seasoned public figure should be acutely aware of the scrutiny his actions face. Despite past controversies involving female public figures, the film producer must exercise caution in his conduct.
