There’s no denying that being an influencer can be lucrative – but how much can an influencer in their prime make in a month? Recently, local influencer Kasih Iris Leona dropped the details on how much she made as a social media personality.
The 22-year-old guest starred on the “Apa Cerita?” podcast to talk about herself and her career as a YouTuber and influencer. During the episode, the public figure, known better as Leona, shared about her start in the social media industry, revealing that she became active as a social media influencer during the COVID lockdown. Leona also talked about her work life and her partnership with her management agency, XENO Asia, which manages her work and rates.
As the star discussed her work, host Ishraq Kamaruddin questioned Leona about her income as an influencer. The university student revealed she could make up to RM20,000 per month as a full-time influencer. However, Leona admitted that she no longer makes that amount as she has taken fewer job offers since she has to juggle her studies. She also revealed that the rates and income of an influencer can fluctuate as it depends on many things, including their popularity, relevancy and workload.
As for how she felt about her income, Leona admitted that it was fun as a young adult, adding that she would often go on shopping sprees since she had little commitment at that time. However, she noted that she started saving her earnings after her agency had advised her. The internet personality also spoke about other topics, including her school life, personality and how her parents, Azhar Sulaiman and Chempaka Emalin Pahamin, feel about her career.
What are your thoughts on Leona’s supposed income as an influencer?
