Last year, Chinese musician Wang Feng (汪峰) announced his divorce from Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi (章子怡) and, within a few months, was rumoured to be dating someone new. Unfortunately, more rumours surfaced claiming that the relationship started when Wang Feng was still married. After staying silent for a long time, the celeb is finally coming clean.
Wang Feng took to Weibo on 20th May (Monday) to formally announce his relationship with Li Qiao (李巧), also known as Sen Lin Bei (森林北). In the post, the singer revealed that he had met the public figure in October 2023, two months after finalising his divorce from Zhang Ziyi. The two had met for work purposes in Xinjiang, where the influencer was based, and slowly became acquainted. Wang Feng said that the two had officially started dating four months later, around February.
According to her Douyin page, Li Qiao is a content creator engaged in tourism. She’s known for her travel videos and vlogs showcasing the sights and landmarks of Xinjiang. Recently, the couple were in Beijing at a dinner with family and friends. After news outlets posted photos of the outing, netizens began leaving negative comments, which Wang said contained false accusations and misinformation.
Previously, there were rumours that Wang Fang had cheated on his ex-wife, which caused their separation. This rumour led many to believe that Li Qiao and the composer had an affair. In response to this, the 53-year-old reiterated that his divorce from his ex-wife was a mutual decision made by both parties and was not because of a third person. He also clarified that he had never met Li Qiao before his divorce, refuting the claims that she was his mistress.
In his post, Wang Feng also said he will no longer tolerate slanderous comments or false accusations towards him, adding that he will proceed with legal action if necessary. His agency also backed this statement, issuing a notice to warn netizens to take down the false accusations and misinformation, or they will face legal action.
