Wedding bells have been ringing within the K-pop community recently. From Han Eu Ddeum (한으뜸)’s marriage happening this May to Ailee (에일리)’s sudden marriage announcement, the cupids are indeed working overtime! Yet, in the midst of it, Jackson Wang (왕잭슨/王嘉爾), Hong Kong-born K-pop idol who debuted under boy group GOT7 patiently waits for his turn when he unveiled his profound aspirations, wishing to get married and have kids before the age of 35.
The artist expressed his yearning to fall in love in hopes that once he had settled down, he could have children of his own that he would treat as friends. However, despite his wish, the K-pop idol stressed how he doesn’t want to force a relationship to happen immediately due to his busy schedule and would rather let nature take its course.

The 30-year-old made an appearance on “Zhishan Dates You” show recently, hosted by Li Zhishan (李志山) whose program focuses on presenting a celebrity’s life behind curtains. During the idol’s segment, he articulated a poignant desire to embrace marriage life as well as parenthood, envisioning a life imbued with the tender joys of familial bond.
Apart from his desire to settle down and start a family, he candidly admitted to having introverted tendencies that have grown over time, affecting the chances of finding a partner. While he radiates an easygoing aura on stage, he stated that now he has social anxiety when placed within crowds and prefers to stay at home.
Speaking of homes, the “Feeling Good” singer also opened up on how he had not felt at home for more than a decade. Despite his visits to his Hong Kong abode, Jackson still felt like living in a hotel as he believed a true home should have your beloved family residing in it.
