Luxury cars are technically precious given their worth, and most owners would have their cars sealed in the garage rather than seeing a scratch on them. No (intelligent) supercar owners would easily leave their cars in the middle of the road or park where it’s inconvenient. However, such concerns do not apply to this one Ferrari owner whose car was spotted to have parked illegally outside Setia City Mall, Shah Alam.

Twitter user, @/update11111 shared a video of the scene unfolding in which a red Ferrari was getting towed away by local authorities after disrupting the road. The mystery person behind the camera, whose identity wasn’t mentioned, can be heard admonishing the owner by saying, “(Owner) can afford to buy a Ferrari but can’t afford to pay for parking.”

In the video, the anonymous man also urged bystanders to locate the owner of the supercar and inform them regarding the impending towing. “Any one of your friends, ask them to come over and claim. If not, then your gearbox will be gone,” said the person, referring to the chances of possibly damaging the car’s transmission. Yet, despite the effort, there have been no updates on whom the car belongs.

Notably, the video gained traction, with the comment section flooded by netizens’ mixed reactions. Most netizens were bewildered, not being able to comprehend why it was difficult for people to park in the mall’s designated area. One netizen added, “They thought a Ferrari was going to stop the authorities from towing the car. So embarrassing.”

Funnily enough, a handful of netizens in the comments also questioned the caption of the tweet which read, “Only in Klang, (they are) able to afford a Ferrari but refuse to pay parking fee”. This is because netizens were dissatisfied with the mention of Klang when it is apparent the video took place in Setia City Mall, which falls under Shah Alam.

While the fate of the towed Ferrari remains unknown, this incident highlights the importance of parking responsibility as it may cause inconvenience for others. What do you think?
