Last Friday (3rd May) was an eventful at the OMEGA boutique in The Exchange TRX. Prominent figures, celebrities, influencers, the media and fans showed up at the star-studded event to catch Jirayu Tangsrisuk (also known as James Jirayu) in person.
As a leading actor in notable films and television dramas such as “Suphapburut Juthathep” (2013), “Krong Kam” (Repercussion) (2019), and most recently “Matalada” (To the Moon and Back), the 30-year-old Thai actor has been captivating audiences with his performances onscreen. He became the first male Friend of OMEGA in Thailand just last year.
To commemorate the new boutique’s opening, OMEGA Malaysia invited James Jirayu for special a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Martin Issing, Vice President of OMEGA Malaysia, alongside Trevor Hill, General Manager of The Exchange TRX. Joining the gentlemen at center stage was Malaysia’s very own style icon Marion Caunter, who officially became the newest addition to the OMEGA family in February 2024.
Team Hype caught up with James in person at the exclusive customer lounge where the endearing star reveal his hidden talent by wiggling a certain body part (don’t worry, we kept it G-rated). “I had no idea but my team joked that I can wiggle my ears,” he quipped before demonstrating for us to see. As an A-list celebrity who often travels for work, James also listed down his top 3 must-have items when travelling.

After meeting James Jirayu and getting to talk with him for a few minutes, we get why this Thai star has such a strong fan base. We know this man is mad talented, but more importantly, he’s one of the nicest Thai celebs we’ve met so far.
