Many celebrity couples have shared details about their relationships like how they met and hit it off but some remained hush about their sweethearts.
Back in 2022, actress Maya Karin revealed that she had met someone and was still in the process of getting to know each other. Two years later, it appears that their relationship is still going strong as the public figure shared more details about their time together and if there’s a possibility of marriage in the near future.
During a recent interview with Kosmo, actress Maya Karin talked about her relationship with her French boyfriend (whom she remains tight-lipped about). The 44-year-old admitted that she does have someone special in her life and was actually surprised by how the two of them still remain close to this day after 2 years.
“I never thought we’d last this long. My expectations were probably 2 or 3 months and I’d be fine if we’d go our separate ways but here we are 2 years in. However, I’d be lying if I said that it was all smooth sailing but we have come to understand each other,” she said during the “The Experts” movie press conference. When asked about how often they’d see each other, the “Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam” star answered that they try to meet as much as possible.
“I try to be realistic. If we want to meet, he could come visit me on set and he loves seeing me work,” she said. Maya was previously married to Steven David Shorthose in 2008 but the two divorced after 2 years and she has remained single ever since. Still, the celeb confessed that she’s very open to the possibility of marrying again after 14 years. “I leave it to all to Allah and I trust in his plans,” she added.
Apart from what she shared with the media, not much is known about Maya’s French lover as they have been keeping their relationship on the down low. Perhaps that’s for the best but we sure hope that she’ll make an official announcement if the two ever decide to get married.
