Local entrepreneur Datuk Aliff Syukri may be known for his beauty product business – but the 36-year-old has also ventured into the music business. The entrepreneur has released a few Raya songs in the past and had plans to release another one this year – until he was cheated by a composer.
In this recent Instagram video, Aliff expressed his disappointment towards an unnamed composer for allegedly snubbing him off a song for the upcoming Raya festivities. He was also saddened to find out that not only did the composer give away the track to another artist, but they also had completed filming for the song’s music video. Through the captions, the public figure wrote, “I’ve accepted the outcome, (but) he (the composer) even recorded the song and filmed a music video. What is this?”.
According to Aliff, he paid RM15,000 for the song, only for it to be given away to a “boring” artist. Unfortunately, he did not mention the name of the composer. However, the father of five hoped the composer would return the money he invested into making the song. He also said that he believes he has the aura and talent of a good artist, so even if his song got stolen, he’s sure the artist won’t be able to compete with his voice.
Aliff also apologised to his fans, saying he’s sorry for not being able to present them with a Raya song for 2024 because he’s short on time. Instead, he said he’ll put effort into a song for next year’s Raya celebrations. Despite the entrepreneur being sad about the lack of a Raya song, netizens are somewhat pleased with the outcome. Many jokingly said they’re spared for the year, even quipping that their prayers have come true.
While we can’t say we’re too sad that Aliff Syukri isn’t releasing a Raya song for 2024, we hope he’ll get back the RM15,000 he allegedly paid the composer.
