Entrepreneur View Chin had quite a year in 2023 as he was accused of having an affair with his staff member Mira Aqilah. Things escalated pretty quickly during that time and although the businessman addressed the issue and shared his side of the story, many still sided with his ex-wife, Shermine.
Mira also spoke up about the backlash she’s received and the couple has since resumed business as usual. Just when we thought things had died down, a certain video they posted reignited some anger among netizens.
Posted on the View company’s official TikTok channel, the viral video showed Mira wanting to do a “surprise inspection” of View Chin’s belongings. The businesswoman entered her partner’s office and asked him if she could go through his bag to which he hesitantly agreed.
At one point during the search, Mira found a Polaroid photo of them together. Flattered, she then asked her boyfriend if he still had any photos of his ex-wife to which he replied with a simple no. Towards the end of the video, the young woman found a hairband and asked her boyfriend who it belonged to.
View Chin defended himself by saying that the accessory must be his daughter’s who visited him recently. The video ended with the couple arguing with Mira wondering if her partner was cheating on her. Talk about Deja Vu! Although the video was most likely scripted, netizens were still displeased with the content.
As seen in the comments above, Mira was criticised for having the audacity to bring up View Chin’s ex-wife in the video, especially since she was accused of being a homewrecker in the first place. Some continued to call her a husband-stealer and suggested that she was proud of her alleged past actions.
A few found it ironic that the alleged homewrecker was afraid of her man being unfaithful. Neither View Chin nor Mira have addressed the recent backlash but if the aim of the video was to get attention then they certainly got it. Watch the video below:
