Chinese New Year is usually a festive time. Sadly, that was not the case for some this year. Apparently, the Plaza Sentosa mall in Johor Bahru that has been experiencing much misfortune, especially after a person was spotted falling from the parking lot, just yesterday (15th February).
On Thursday, a middle-aged man, allegedly in his 50s to 60s was suspected to have fallen from the parking lot of the Plaza Sentosa mall in Johor Bahru. Police are currently investigating the issue, as this is the second case to have happened there in five days.

According to passers-by in the area, they had heard a loud noise around 3pm yesterday. When they went to look, they discovered a Chinese man, aged 50 to 60 on the ground, just outside the Plaza Sentosa’s parking lot’s exit. Allegedly, he had fallen from an upper level of the parking lot.
Police arrived on the scene to cordon it off and to further investigate the matter. The body of the deceased was later removed from the scene around 4:30pm and sent to the morgue in the Johor Bahru general hospital, presumably for an autopsy.
South Johor Bahru district police chief ACP Raub Selamat confirmed the case when asked, however, he gave no further details. Allegedly, the deceased had been fairly active in the area prior to his passing, yet his background and identity remain unknown and require further investigation.

Reportedly, this is not the first case of someone falling from the mall’s parking lot. A young Vietnamese man too had fallen in the same mall on Sunday (11th February) and passed away on the spot. We sincerely hope the deceased rest in peace.
