Things haven’t been so good for celebrity preacher Ebit Lew, especially after he was slapped with 11 charges of sexual harassment. The infamous tattoo homeless woman Mondy, who was featured on the religious public figure’s social media platforms also spoke out about her experience of being sexually harassed by him.
The case is still ongoing and during the recent court trial at the Tenom Magistrate’s Court, a victim came forward to give out her statement regarding her experience with the preacher. According to her, the religious content creator invited her over via WhatsApp and suggested they switch partners to engage in sexual intimacy.
The woman, in her 40s, claimed that Ebit told her that his wife was not satisfying his sexual needs, thus proposing the idea that they switch partners for sex. The victim, of course, rejected his offer. She also alleged that the preacher used obscene words to seduce her into doing these immoral acts.
According to Free Malaysia Today, the complainant told the court that she advised Ebit to repent for his sins as his actions would bring nothing but shame if he were to be exposed one day. However, the public figure has been persistent in his advances.
Prior to the inappropriate text messages, the victim claimed that the celeb showed her his genitals during several video calls. “He first exposed himself in March 2021. I managed to take a screenshot to show my husband, who initially did not believe me when I told him,” she said in her testimony. It was said that Ebit apologised to her for his lewd act but unfortunately, he exposed himself again the following month.
“Ebit then became angry and asked me why I was rejecting his advances. He said that he had many houses and I could pick the one I wanted,” the witness added. Unfortunately for her and other victims, the court has yet to reach a verdict on the sexual harassment charges.
If convicted, Ebit Lew, who is charged under Section 509 of the Penal Code, would receive a prison sentence of up to five years, a fine, or both. Seems like we won’t be hearing the end of this story anytime soon.
