There’s a lot of drama surrounding celebrity preacher Ebit Lew, especially after featuring a supposed homeless tattoo woman from Indonesia named Mondy in his videos. The woman then later accused the public figure of using her for content among other horrible things.
Mondy recently appeared on rapper Caprice’s podcast, which was not really well-received by many. Rather than sharing her thoughts about the viral clips, singer Baby Shima decided to do a parody instead by dressing up as Mondy.
@babyshimaofficial Guyss….. mau cerita!!! hari pertama aku di gituin!!!! #babyshima #fyp #babytattoo
For context, Mondy appeared in 3 episodes of Caprice’s podcast on his YouTube channel where she mainly talked about her experience with Ebit Lew. The tattooed woman claimed that she was sexually harassed and taken advantage of by the celebrity preacher before he allegedly left her for good.
Yesterday (Tuesday, 19th September), Baby Shima decided to do a parody of the podcast by dressing up as Mondy and posting the video on her social media. The singer, who had fake tattoos drawn on her face and wearing excessive accessories to resemble the Indonesian woman, lip-synced to the original podcast audio while doing some exaggerated gestures and facial expressions. At one point, the 31-year-old even twerked on camera.
Normally, the dangdut artist would receive backlash for her content but netizens, including her celebrity friends were very entertained by the parody video. While many acknowledged that what she did wasn’t considered nice, they also still couldn’t help but laugh at how ridiculous the whole thing was.
At the time of writing, there has been no info on whether Mondy herself has commented on Baby Shima’s post. Caprice has also yet to respond to the singer’s parody. Let’s just hope that this doesn’t end up causing another big messy dispute.
