Social media is more than just posting photos and videos for friends and family as many consider it as their personal “online journal” for them to express their thoughts and emotions. However, some confessions (read: TMI) are better left unsaid.
Just because you can post something online, it does not mean you should. This man learned his mistake (or maybe not) after posting something that he should’ve kept private. A content creator who goes by Khairul Asyraf posted a video on his TikTok channel of him getting ready to finalise his divorce from his now ex-wife.

The video started with him contemplating about going through with the divorce. Once the process was over, he treated his then mother-in-law and stepdaughter to a meal for the last time at Aman Central. After saying goodbye, he went home on his motorcycle with tears in his eyes.
“May this be a lesson for both of us. Thank you for being a good wife to me during our 7-month marriage,” the man wrote in his captions. Although his intentions were probably to share a heartbreaking moment in his life just like everybody else, the video was not well-received by netizens. As seen in the comments below, many believed that the TikToker should not have used his divorce process as content for his social media.
A few sympathised with his situation while also agreeing that the day of his divorce should’ve been kept private. Some wondered if he married his ex-wife just for her to get back with her ex-husband. The content creator then posted another video to clarify some misunderstandings.

In the follow-up post, he claimed that both he and his ex-wife loved each other when they got married and that the rumours about her going back to the father of her child are not true. “Please delete your comments. Stop spreading slander. I don’t want any bad blood with my ex. We were good but it has now come to this,” he said. The man also added that he didn’t expect the video to go viral as he was just expressing himself on his socials.
Although netizens felt sorry that things got out of control, they commented that they still firmly believe that Khairul is an attention seeker. If you didn’t know, this was not the first time Khairul Asyraf went viral as he once made headlines after sharing a tragic story on TikTok about losing his late wife who passed away from a road accident.
