Looks like there’s more great news for K-pop fans in Malaysia! After Super Junior vocalist Kyuhyun and solo singer IU announced their Kuala Lumpur concerts, two more K-pop acts will make their way to Malaysia this year!
South Korean news outlet Naver News recently reported that Super Junior (슈퍼주니어) will soon embark on an Asian tour – and Kuala Lumpur is one of the listed stops. The new concert tour, “Super Show Spin-Off: Halftime”, will be a spin-off of their hugely successful Super Show tour. The group will start the tour in Seoul, South Korea, in June before visiting other Asian cities.
According to the report, Super Junior plans to hold shows in Bangkok and Singapore in July, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei in August, and Hong Kong and Jakarta in September. Their management, Label SJ, will announce more details about the tour through the group’s fan club community and social media accounts.
Meanwhile, rock band CNBlue (씨엔블루) also dropped the news that they will return to Malaysia this year – about a decade since their last Kuala Lumpur concert. The trio announced the stops for their Asia tour, “CNBLUENTITY”, which includes Kuala Lumpur. According to the poster, the band will perform in Malaysia on 20th April (Saturday) but has yet to announce information on the venue and ticket prices.
It’s also worth mentioning that fellow second-generation idols FT Island and former f(x) rapper Amber Liu will also hold solo concerts in Malaysia next month. While unconfirmed, some insiders say that more idols will be coming down to town for concerts, fan meetings and other appearances – so best prepare your wallets, K-pop fans!
