2024 officially began a few days ago. Unfortunately, some are already feeling the sting of loss. On 2nd January, a young couple in Seremban was found dead in their apartment after reportedly committing suicide.
The remains of the couple were found yesterday around 12pm in an apartment in Linggi, Seremban. The couple were both young professionals with solid careers, with the husband being a lecturer while the wife was a dentist.
Seremban police had apparently received a report around 12:49pm yesterday claiming that a 34-year-old foreign man and a 31-year-old local woman had been found dead in an apartment unit. The duo had reportedly been discovered by a neighbour.
Police confirmed that the two were a married couple who had married just last October. The husband had worked as a teacher in an international school in Port Dickson, while the wife, Dr. Vishaalinie a/p Tamil Selvan, was a dentist in Klinik Pergigian Linggi. Dr. Vishaalinie had apparently been from Kedah.
After investigating the scene and the couple’s remains, police have classified it as a sudden death case as no criminal factors nor foul play were found. Both bodies have been sent to the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital morgue and police are currently waiting for the autopsy results regarding the cause of death.
Friends and colleagues of Dr. Vishaalinie have since been mourning her loss, with many offering condolences to her family. Police have also requested for anyone with further information regarding the case to contact the case’s investigating officer Insp Adi Khusaini Saripudin at 0127707282 or Seremban Police District at 06-6033222.
Our hearts and prayers go out to all those who knew the couple. We sincerely hope they will be able to find peace in their passing.
