Chinese actress Zhao Lusi (赵露思) and actor Li HongYi (李宏毅) have been rising in popularity following their appearances in hit dramas like “Love Like The Galaxy” and “The Blood Of Youth”. The two even starred together in the 2019 drama “Love Better Than Immortality”, where they played the two main leads. However, their names have recently trended on Weibo, but for not-so-good reasons.
Recently, footage of the two at a private event from a few years ago resurfaced on Weibo. In the video, the two were seated next to each other at a table while in a restaurant with other people. Both stars seemed close as they touched each other intimately despite being in public. However, at one point, Li HongYi was seen touching Zhao Lusi’s back and seemingly playing with her bra band. The actress seemed uncomfortable with the act and tried to shoo Li HongYiu’s hand away. It also looked as if the actress tried scolding her former co-star.
The video went viral amongst netizens, who criticised the actor’s behaviour. Many called the act inappropriate, even saying Li HongYi was harassing Zhao Lusi. However, others pointed out the act seemed like two close friends joking around. Some even pointed out that the actress had also touched the actor during the same event, even resting her hand on his thigh at one point. The two were also previously romantically linked, so netizens claimed this was simply an act between a young couple.
After the incident went viral, Li HongYi made a post through his Weibo account, believed to be a response to the incident. In the post, the 25-year-old actor wrote “Sharing (the) images” and included an image with the words, “It’s so boring”. Some fans took the post as the actor dismissing the claims and calling the viral footage ridiculous. However, some netizens said the actor seemed to avoid responsibility for his actions.
It doesn’t seem like Zhao Lusi has responded to the issue – but what do you think about the incident? Was it inappropriate touching? Or was it just two young stars showing affection to each other?
