Before you rent or buy a house, it’s crucial to get more input about the unit or house you’re eyeing so you don’t regret later. Recently, Twitter user @/shxhrxlxr tweeted about the SkyPark Cyberjaya condominium, sharing its surprisingly affordable auction price of a unit, which costs slightly over RM200,000.
According to its website, SkyPark is a mixed-use integrated development completed in 2017 consisting of residential and office units. It’s known for its architecture that resembles Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands and the sky bridge, which connects all five towers. The Twitter user came across the listing online and decided to share it with other Twitter users, hoping to get more traction for the unit. Unfortunately, the user didn’t know that the unit had more cons than pros.
In response to the original tweet, many Cyberjaya residents have revealed what Skypark Cyberjaya is like behind the affordable price. According to the tweets from former and current residents of the condominium, Skypark has a lot of issues, namely with its terrible management. Many shared that residents would still have to pay for parking despite being in the same building. Some also lament about the electricity bills, which can reach hundreds, even if you live alone.
The management isn’t the only issue with the building – as others have complained about the safety issues of the condominium. Many alleged there have been several crime cases in the building, adding that theft is unfortunately common because many have discovered their parcels and food delivery orders stolen. Shockingly, netizens even claimed that there were several murder cases, including one where a police officer fatally shot a suspect at the building’s basement carpark. The condominium has apparently been caught on fire twice, with both incidents taking place just two months apart.
Despite listing the many cons, residents did comment on a few pros of Skypark Cyberjaya, like its access to the Putrajaya Line MRT and its well-designed layout. However, a majority said that the pros aren’t enough to overlook the cons, urging others to think twice before renting or purchasing a unit in the condo.
What do you think about this condo? Would you take the risk and buy a unit, given the RM200,000 auction price?
