If you haven’t heard, fast food chain McDonald’s has brought back their iconic Prosperity Burger – perhaps to lure more customers to their stores. However, Malaysians aren’t so easily persuaded and have voiced out that they will continue to boycott the brand for its supposed ties to Israel. But what if you love the Prosperity Burger? Well, food influencer Khairulaming has the answer!
The influencer known for his easy-to-follow recipes recently shared a copycat version of the Prosperity Burger – which he cheekily calls the McMing Burger. The video shows Khairul’s version of the burger, which uses oblong burger patties from Ramly Burger and store-bought buns. Of course, the Prosperity Burger set won’t be complete without curly fries and the Orange McFizz, so Khairul made sure to include the two in his video.
Not long after uploading the recipe, Khairul had many Malaysians reacting positively to his video. Many thanked the influencer for sharing a copycat version of the iconic burger, saying it gave them a reason to continue their boycott. Some also joked that McDonald’s should be worried about the video because their Prosperity Burgers might not lure as many customers as they hoped.
Many also praised Khairul, saying the recipe shows his support for Palestine because he discreetly urges people to continue boycotting the fast food chain. Since the content creator’s version of the Prosperity Burger uses frozen patties from Ramly Burger, many also joke that Ramly will soon see a rise in sales for their patties.
What do you think about Khairul’s McMing burger? Would you give it a try over the original McDonald’s Prosperity Burger?
