Polygamy isn’t for everyone and even those who give their blessings to the marriage arrangement have a hard time accepting the reality. Remember the influencer couple who went viral because the husband was experiencing some sort of “sickness”? Apparently, the “sickness” turned out to be another woman.
Rumours and speculations have spread all over social media about entrepreneur Mohd Hazalif or Alif Teega possibly cheating on his wife. He has since released a statement to confirm that he had indeed married another woman as his second wife. Here’s the full story:
Yesterday (Sunday, 26th November), Alif Teega posted on his official Instagram page to address certain rumours that’s been circulating all over social media. The influencer admitted that he married his second wife recently and thanked his first wife Aisyah Hijanah for her blessings and patience. As expected, netizens were quick to criticise the public figure for hurting his wife and using religion to justify his actions.
However, Alif’s marriage to his second wife may not have been the only way he has been hurting Aisyah. Not long after releasing his statement, his brother-in-law, Amirul Adnirustam, accused him of domestic abuse. It was alleged that the businessman had physically harm Aisyah while still pregnant with their third child. The first wife’s younger brother even alleged that there is a deleted dashcam footage of an incident that happened between the couple.
“Even your eldest child says that you are a bad person. That’s enough proof. I don’t care what others say, once you raise your hands at my sister, I will get involved. You give religious content creators a bad name. FYI, I was never proud to have a brother-in-law like you!” he wrote in an Instagram Story. As if that wasn’t enough, Amirul even exposed the identity of the second wife whom he calls a homewrecker. He then deleted the allegations as he was advised to take them down for his sister’s safety.
Unfortunately for Amirul and his family, the now-deleted posts quickly went viral on Twitter. Netizens who believe the allegations have slammed the influencer for abusing his wife. Others weren’t as surprised as they’ve always had their suspicions about the content creator. Although they understood his concerns, some netizens believed that Amirul should’ve gone to the police instead of posting family issues on social media.
Alif Teega has yet to respond to both the allegations against him and the backlash he received. As for Aisyah Hijanah, she hasn’t given any statements regarding the allegations. She did, however, post her statement regarding the polygamous marriage on her IG the same day as her husband, saying that she has given her blessings and will leave everything in God’s hands.
