While singer-actress Elizabeth Tan (谭苏梅) is busy with her work to think about starting a family in the present time, it doesn’t mean that she can’t enjoy some fun. Over the weekend, the singer went on a holiday in Italy, possibly celebrating her 30th birthday simultaneously.
She took this opportunity while abroad to take as many photos and videos of some of the most beautiful hot spots and tourist attractions in the city and posted them on Instagram. However, one photo caught the most attention from netizens that may be “inappropriate” and here’s why:

Elizabeth Tan posted a carousel post on Instagram, consisting of photos she took in Italy. The first slide showed her posing in front of the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. The second slide was of her at the Gallery of the Academy of Florence where she was seen admiring the Statue of David by the famous sculptor-architect Michelangelo. What caught netizens off guard by this particular photo was the fact that it was uncensored.
As seen in the photo above, the well-known 5.17-metre sculpture depicts the Biblical hero David in the nude. Netizens probably did not expect the Malaysian celeb to post a photo of the statue without censoring its private parts. Many left comments on the post with most of them finding it humourous that the statue was left exposed in the photo while others asked the “Payung” songstress to censor the photo.

Elizabeth replied to those comments requesting her to blur the image by saying, “This is art hahahaha”. Apart from the “nude” photo, the singer also posted a carousel post on her birthday (18th November) where she enjoyed a boat ride on the canals in the city of Venice while donning a stunning long red dress.
While we understand netizens’ concerns possibly due to Instagram’s nudity policy, according to the app’s community guidelines, statues, paintings or even drawings depicting a nude body are acceptable.
