While most would be happy for one’s success and achievements, there will always be those who are envious. Celebrities and influencers have always been easy targets for haters to criticise, no matter what it is that they say or do.
Ceddy Ang, famously known as CeddyorNot, was previously criticised for pre-ordering the new iPhone 15. It appears that another netizen has joined in on the hate party and criticised the infleuncer for not inviting all his followers for a little get-together.
Yesterday (Wednesday, 4th October), Ceddy posted a photo of him and some of his followers at Happy Food Co, a restaurant by Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC). “Nothing to do today so I treated my followers to a nice meal!” he captioned. In the replies, the influencer explained that he had sent out invites on Instagram and a total of 9 people showed up to the hangout that afternoon.
Most were looking forward to the next opportunity to be invited by the content creator but one netizen who goes by @koffekanxer left a rude remark berating him. In his post, the netizen said, “He has over 94.4k followers but only invited 9 people? So damn bias/stingy! What the f**k is this?” The food vlogger was quick to respond to that rude comment to explain why there were only 9 people at the table.
Ceddy wrote that he didn’t publicised the meal hang out on Twitter to avoid meeting rude and suspicious individuals. The meal plan was set on a Wednesday at 3pm which is not convenient for most people to join as they have either work or classes. “It didn’t matter whether 9 people or 1 person showed up. The most important thing is that everyone had a fun time. You should try it,” the public figure added.
As expected, many came to Ceddy’s defence saying that he was right to limit his invites as the occasion was more of an intimate gathering session. Others pointed out that the netizen may be a troll account as his Liked a lot of a very questionable and inappropriate content.
We personally agree that Ceddy has the right to invite whoever he wants and set the number of people he’d feel comfortable to hangout with. Who knows, maybe one of you might be invited to next gathering!
