While there have been a few bad cases of food delivery riders behaving recklessly or inappropriately, most should receive more recognition and praise for their hard work as they’ve gone above and beyond to make sure customers are satisfied with their service.

Unfortunately for this Foodpanda rider, it surely wasn’t his day since he had no choice but to continue his journey on foot after his motorcycle was said to be foreclosed. Watch:

A video of a Foodpanda rider walking on foot on the side of the road has gone viral on social media since yesterday (Tuesday, 12th September). As seen in the post above, it was shown that the rider’s motorcycle was foreclosed by Road Transport Department (JPJ) officers which left him no other option but to carry on with his journey by walking under the hot sun.

Unfortunately, none of the videos posted online provided information on why the Foodpanda employee’s motorcycle was confiscated by the police. The viral post also did not mention where exactly this incident took place but judging from the road sign seen in the video, it can be assumed that it happened in Sepang, Selangor. It was said that the rider was walking home after completing a customer’s order.

Netizens reacted to the video with most sympathising with the rider for his unfortunate turn of events. Others were wondering what he could’ve done for his motorcycle to be foreclosed by authorities in the middle of the road. Some, including controversial influencer Aisar Khaled, asked if there was a way for them to help the poor rider with his situation.

At the time of writing, there has been no update on the rider or if anyone has any information on his current financial situation. We sure hope he’ll get his motorcycle back so he can go back to doing his job.

Update (13th September)

JPJ became aware of the viral video and posted the following statement on Facebook:
