There’s simply no telling what Dato Seri Vida might do that could get everyone riled up. The entrepreneur has been slammed multiple times for her extravagant outfits as well as for showing off her wealth.
If you have it, flaunt it right? While there’s technically nothing wrong with wearing accessories, netizens were not very fond of her recent post where she was seen wearing too much gold.
During the weekend, Dato Seri Vida posted a video on her social media of her wearing an excessive amount of gold jewellery with a caption that reads, “Haven’t worn these in a while. They’re actually heavy”. The businesswoman can be seen wearing a gold chain necklace, gold chain bracelets on both her wrists, a gold rose-shaped ring on her index finger, a gold chain headpiece, and a gold handbag.
Upon closer inspection, the Qu Puteh founder’s dark outfit as well as her hijab also had gold embellishments on them. It is unknown if the gold is authentic or fake but regardless, the video garnered a lot of mixed reactions from netizens. While there were those who were entertained by the entrepreneur dressing up so extravagantly, many were also against the idea of her showing off her wealth and even accused her of being arrogant and boastful.
The “I Am Me” singer, obviously, did not reply to any of the backlash she received for the post. However, she did post a behind-the-scenes video of her putting on the gold accessories on TikTok as a response to a netizen who commented that they always feel uncomfortable whenever they wear gold, which the celeb captioned, “Here, let me wear them”.
At this rate, there’s no point in telling DS Vida what she should or should not wear as she simply does not care what others think of her. It’s probably a good quality when one is as self-obsessed as Vida. Do you think she should tone down a little when it comes to her over-the-top outfits/accessories?
