The long-awaited “Jacky Cheung 60+ Concert Tour Malaysia” with all six shows is here and fans have been having a blast! Unfortunately, Jacky Cheung (张学友) left many concerned after his recent performance.

Many Malaysians have been enjoying the Hong Kong singer’s concert tour, allegedly including local politician Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong! However, Jacky Cheung’s performance started faltering after being hit by a sudden bout of dizziness. He pressed on, but ended up falling on stage!

12th August may have been election day for several states in Malaysia, but netizens claim they spotted local politician Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong taking some time off to attend the famed singer’s concert instead. A video uploaded allegedly showed a man in blue leading a woman in white at the concert, with a police officer escorting the duo.

“It turns out that Wee Ka Siong is rushing to see Jacky Cheung’s concert tonight, not rushing to Selangor to announce his ruling,” the caption reportedly read. Although the claim remains unconfirmed, Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong has never hidden his admiration for Jacky Cheung’s work, even referencing his songs and concerts in his speech.

However, it seems Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong might not have chosen a good time to witness the concert as Jacky allegedly was not at his best. Fans claimed the singer had been feeling dizzy due to ear imbalance and delayed the opening on his second day (12th August), however, he persisted and completed his performance.

Regretfully, his condition was reportedly worse on the third day. Jacky even told the audience as such, claiming he had proposed to cancel the concert for the night around 7pm. “They (the organisers) said canceling is useless now (as) everyone is coming,” he shared. They apparently suggested waiting till 8pm to see how he felt, but Jacky allegedly still felt dizzy then.

The singer clarified that his condition would have no effect on his singing, however, he might struggle to perform. As such, he asked fans if they wanted him to continue, as he claimed he did not want to disappoint them. But fans requested he continue the performance and he did, to the best of his ability, even singing “Off Track (马路英雄)” while seated on the stage!

However, as Jacky was walking down from a ramp during his performance for “只想一生跟你走”, he nearly gave his fans a heart attack. The singer had apparently been unsteady on his feet and as he stepped off the ramp, he suddenly lost his balance and fell. Still, he dedicated himself to finishing his performance, leaving his audience impressed.

Jacky Chueng reportedly returned to his hotel to rest after the concert and will subsequently be flying back to Hong Kong with his team today (14th August). Many others have wished the singer well and are hoping he will take good care of himself during his brief break.

Well, we Malaysian fans certainly appreciate all Jacky Cheung is doing to give us the best performance he can. The singer will be returning to Malaysia on 18th August for his last three shows, and we too hope he will be in good health for his performance then.
