If you’re looking for a new everyday sneaker for casual wear, adidas Superstar XLG is a great option. It’s super durable and there’s basically no break-in period required since it’s so comfortable. Superstars have been known to last up to three years, so you can basically wear them anywhere without worrying about scruffing them up too much. This is a shoe that is for everybody, whether you’re wearing them to your next basketball practice, or just walking around town.
The Fit
The adidas Superstar will fit true-to-size, but it might be a tight fit for some. So if you’re someone who prefers a bit more room around your feet, try taking at least half a size up. This also applies to people with wider feet – you can go a size up to avoid any possible discomfort. While the shoe itself is already quite comfortable, feel free to add your own insoles for maximum comfort!
The Design
The remixed and updated take on the classic Superstar sneaker stays true to the original silhouette’s DNA, while re-contextualizing it for a new era. Designed with a bold, high-rise look, the brand new Superstar XLG features a leather upper, an EVA sockliner, an elevated platform outsole, and a retooled shell-toe.
The Superstar XLG still sports a rubber shell toe, giving it its signature rounded appearance. The adidas Superstar XLG comes in 4 colourways (Cloud White, Better Scarlet, Blue, and Core Black) for men, and 3 (Semi Court Green, Clear Sky, and Bliss Orange) for women. The old school red and blue striped colourways, and the pastel will make any casual outfit stand out, while the classic black and white colourways will go with any outfit and can also be dressed up or down.

Given the thick soles of the Superstar, we recommend pairing them with loose fitting pants or jeans. This is because light and skinny jeans may accentuate the broad appearance of the shoe, which might not be the look you’re going for.
