You never know what can happen when you step foot in a shopping centre. Just last month, a fire broke out at Mid Valley Megamall, causing chaos around the vicinity. Thankfully, no one was hurt during the incident.
Another incident that took place in a shopping centre in Penang has recently gone viral, where a woman was seen running amok outside of a clothing store. Watch what happened:

A TikTok video posted by user @1010midvalley went viral over the weekend. The video showed a woman throwing a fit at a VS Outlet clothing store at Queensbay Mall, Penang. The woman can be seen shouting at the staff while knocking over some mannequins and clothes racks at the store.
It was reported that the angry individual reacted the way she did after the store’s staff accused her of stealing. The woman causing the riot was arrested by local authorities on the same day at around 5:50pm following a report lodged by the store.
According to MalaysiaGazette, the 26-year-old woman is believed to have cognitive disabilities (OKU) and was apprehended by police for damaging the store. “We subsequently arrested the woman and seized the skateboard used in the act,” Superintendent Kamarul Rizal Jenal, the Southwest District Police Chief told the media. The authorities also revealed that the woman is originally from Cameron Highlands, Pahang.

It was reported that her aunt has since come forward to clarify that her niece has health issues other than her cognitive disabilities. The woman in the viral video, which has now reached over 4.6 million views, was taken to Penang Hospital for medical attention where it was later then confirmed that she is mentally ill.
At the time of writing, there have been no updates on whether the OKU woman will be charged for causing a public disturbance as well as damaging property. Neither Queensbay Mall nor VS Outlet released a statement regarding the recent incident.
