We’ve seen how some places like SetiaWalk in Puchong and Puteri Harbour in Johor have been abandoned despite still being operational. The two once lively shopping centres have turned into ghost towns with little to no human activities.
Another premise has apparently suffered the same fate. A netizen recently posted a video to showcase what Pudu Sentral Bus station looks like nowadays. Watch:

Before there was the Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) station, there was the Pudu Sentral bus terminal. Yesterday (Monday, 29th May), a netizen who goes by @fdausamad on TikTok or Firdaus posted a video on his channel to show the current state of the once-busy bus station in Kuala Lumpur.
In the video, the station was shown to be completely empty with most if not all stalls there having closed down. “For 40 years, this place was always full of people. Now it’s just empty,” the netizen wrote. For your information, the Pudu Sentral terminal, previously known as Puduraya, was the main bus station in KL for those who grew up in the late 70s and the 90s.
After the birth of TBS, the dying station has now been left abandoned despite still being operational. The depressing sight of the station attracted the attention of many netizens who commented on the video, reminiscing about their time visiting or using the bus service at the station.
Scrolling through the comments, it seems that many Malaysians have a lot of wonderful memories of the once-lively bus terminal. It’s unfortunate that the condition of Pudu Sentral has come to this which now begs the question, “How long will it remain operational?”
For the time being, there’s no exact answer to that concern but if you’re ever in the mood for nostalgia, perhaps drop by the station and use the services offered while they’re still available.
