Unfortunately, lorry drivers in Malaysia do have a bad reputation because of some drivers who choose to drive recklessly and even ignoring road safety. Previously, a driver almost lost her life when a metal rod flew through her windshield due to the lorry in front not properly securing its tarp.
Another netizen recently came forward with his story of how this lorry driver almost crashed into his car more than once as he tries to overtake him. Here’s what happened:

Yesterday (Thursday, 25th May), a Twitter user who goes by @simrath98 posted a thread of dash cam footage that showed a lorry driver driving recklessly on the Federal Highway exiting Subang, endangering the other road users. As seen in the video above, the lorry driver was speeding and overtaking other vehicles in a very dangerous manner, almost hitting the netizen’s car.
In the second video, the Security Analyst then tried to overtake the lorry but the driver dangerously drove into his lane to overtake him instead, almost crashing into his car again which caused him to hit the emergency brakes. Unsatisfied, the Twitter user honked at the lorry driver for what he did before the latter suddenly stopped in front of the former and refused to move an inch.
The rest of the videos in the thread showed how the road bully continued to ignore road safety by repeatedly trying to overtake @simrath98, nearly crashing into several other vehicles. As seen in the last video below, other road users started honking the lorry when he suddenly stopped in the middle of the road.

The Twitter user ended the thread by stating that he has reported the incident to the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) and had submitted all the necessary details including the dashcam footage as evidence. At the time of writing, there has been no update from @simrath98 regarding the lorry driver.
