Travelling to a different country can be fun and the journey there is half of the excitement. Some have been extremely lucky to meet a celebrity who coincidentally boarded the same flight as them, while others wished they haven’t witnessed a famous person on a bad day.
Fortunately for this netizen, a bad day was not the case as she was over the moon when she realised that she boarded the same flight as 2 members of BLACKPINK! Here’s exactly what happened:
Yesterday (Monday, 22nd May), a netizen who goes by @hyunsukdaisuki on Twitter shared the story of how she met BLACKPINK members Rosé (로제) and Jisoo (김지수) on the same flight from Hong Kong. According to the BLINK, her business class seat was just behind the idols and she only noticed it was them when it was time to disembark the plane.
“I closed my eyes immediately after settling into my seat so I didn’t see them board the plane. I only found out after we landed and my jaw dropped!” she tweeted. The fan shared that she tried asking for an autograph, but the members politely declined, possibly due to an agreement with their label or the fact that they were rushing. Having said that, she didn’t mind it as she was content at meeting them up close.
“It was just a simple and short interaction. They were so nice to even let me interact with them and Jisoo even turned back twice to wave back at me 💓”, the BLINK said. Although the Malaysian didn’t take a photo with the girl group members (as she also wanted to respect their privacy), she did share a video of a few sasaengs chasing after them in the airport.

@hyunsukdaisuki also clarified that the group’s staff and manager were there to observe the interaction on the plane and keep the members safe. Despite not getting an autograph or photo, the netizen expressed that it was still an exciting experience for her.
BLINKs online were all happy for her pleasant experience of meeting BLACKPINK members live in person. Some thanked the fan for being respectful to the idol group while others pondered how they would react if they ever get the chance to meet them.
