As of recent, there have been an increase of content creators venturing into OnlyFans. Although OnlyFans are still seen as a taboo and something easily misunderstood in some Southeast Asian countries, there has actually been a growth in users from these countries.
Gracie Hartie, an OnlyFans creator from Singapore, recently shared on a podcast about her journey from a very private person with zero social media presence to an OF creator who earns more than enough to support herself. Let’s unveil how she first stepped into this industry:
In The Daily Ketchup Podcast, Gracie mentioned that a year prior to her starting up multiple social media accounts, she was an introvert with no online profiles whatsoever. However, even with zero presence on social medias, she was still constantly stalked offline and was a victim of voyeurism.
These were only a few of her traumatic experiences from her past. One of the main triggers that pushed Gracie into starting an OnlyFans was when someone tried to blackmail her for money. He said she was not on social medias because she was afraid and has something to hide.
Experiences like these led her to think, “What’s the worse thing that could happen if I put myself on the internet? I think I’ll be quite popular. So, I might as well just monetize it, right?” These thoughts opened up a whole new possibility for Gracie and since then, she started to ‘boom’.
The content creator went on to share that her OnlyFans game plan was to not allowed anyone scare her or sexualise her against her will anymore. What started out as slightly suggestive photos on social medias became content on OF and eventually a main source of income for Gracie. What was used as weapons against her in the past is now her own weapon.
“It feels a bit like I’m in the sea swimming against the current (in the past), and now, I’m like a surfer.” Gracie has come to fully embraced herself with the help of OnlyFans and social medias.
Gracie started her OnlyFans career about two years ago. Her content mostly consists of Japanese soft porn, which are pornographies with less to no nudity. She has branded herself as someone who is ‘not that easily available’, and has since gained a large following.
Other than her regular OnlyFans content, Gracie has also helped guide other content creators who are looking to venture into the same industry as her. Her guidance has actually been a huge help to other Southeast Asian OF creators, even one of the podcast’s host had a friend who received her guidance.
