Having intimate moments in a car may be cute and all, but there’s no denying how dangerous it can be to others on the road. Unfortunately, it seems this local couple didn’t quite consider the ramifications of their romantic actions!
Just last week, Malaysians were in uproar over the infamous ‘sakit’ video, which showed a young couple getting hot and heavy in a car. And it seems, another couple recently decided to follow suit. A lorry driver allegedly spotted the duo cuddling in their car while hogging the lane. But, this has caused some consternation among netizens.
According to a Twitter post, a lorry driver had spotted a local couple cuddling in a Myvi. “(They) drove at 70km/h and stayed in the middle lane. I observed (them), starting from Ayer Keroh to Pedas Linggi,” the Tweet read. “(They) didn’t change lane at all. (Their actions don’t suit) the P license.”
The photos showed the duo doing nothing but simply having a sweet moment in the car. The lady seemingly had her head in the guy’s lap while he drove. However, the post criticised their intimate action, claiming they could have had their sweet moment elsewhere.
Still, not everyone shared this view. Some felt the lorry driver should have left the duo alone. “(What other’s do in their car is private), it is not your right to snap whatever you want without knowing the truth,” one comment read. “I hate those who like to violate people’s privacy in cars like this.” A few even called the driver out for using his phone while driving.
But, some also condemned the duo for their actions while driving. “Road safety is a priority,” one added. Another pointed out: “If anything happens during that time, it’ll be dangerous to others. If you want to be sweet, there is a place (and time) for it.”
Well, it’s certainly true that we should respect the privacy of others, especially if it doesn’t directly affect us. However, we do hope the couple will prioritise driving safely first before enjoying their sweet moments together.
This ain’t the first time a couple have been caught getting lovey-dovey while driving on the highway. A similar incident of a couple in an Axia car also went viral online.
