Congratulations are in order for Lee Seung Gi (이승기). The charming singer-actor is now officially married to his partner, Lee Da In (이다인)!
Their wedding ceremony was held at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas last week on Friday, and needless to say, the couple spared no expense for their big day. Recently, industry insiders have broken down the costs of the luxurious event. It was estimated that the wedding ceremony cost them well over ₩100 million KRW (about RM334,000).
For starters, Seung Gi and Da In’s wedding reception took place in the Grand Ballroom wedding hall. The hall can accommodate up to 940 guests. According to reports, more than 700 guests attended the ceremony. Among the famous names include Jay Park, Lee Dong Wook, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, Han Hyo Joo and Cha Eun Woo from Astro. It’s reported that the minimum charge to book the Grand Ballroom is ₩100 million KRW (about RM334,000).
Additionally, the guests were also treated to several lavish food options, from steamed lobster, to grilled “Hong Kong style” beef tenderloin, to wedding noodles and apple mango cake. The menu also includes Buldojang, a luxurious dish well-known in Asia as “Buddha’s Delight”. The dish is a variation of shark fin soup and is considered a delicacy.
As seen in the snapshot of the menu (courtesy of media outlet Sports Outlet), the couple chose the “course meal package,” which cost ₩300,000 KRW (about RM1,000) per person. With around 700 guests in attendance, it’s expected that the catering cost a minimum of ₩130 million KRW (about RM434,700).
The couple also paid a “hosting” fee for running the ceremony, which costs around ₩4.40 million KRW (about RM14,682). Including the cost of prepping the “Thank You” gifts, The Lee couple are estimated to have spent close to ₩230 million KRW (about RM770K) on the grand event!
