BLACKPINK (블랙핑크) has been one of the most groundbreaking and elite performers in the K-pop landscape. The world-renowned girl group never fails to amaze the fans (lovingly referred to as BLINKs) with their outstanding talent and beauty.
However, beneath their well-known flashy and glamourous image, the girls also have a rebellious side, as demonstrated through the tattoos on their bodies. Although some of the tattoos were temporary, many fans were still thrilled by the discovery. We’ve come up with a compilation of the members of BLACKPINK’s tattoos as well as the possible meanings behind them.
Check out the list below:
1. Small “h” Tattoo On Rosé’s Arm
Last week, Rosé’ walked the red carpet at the Sulwhasoo and the Metropolitan Museum of Art party in New York city. The Australian idol immediately caught the attention of fans with her demure look. At the same time, eagle-eyes fans took notice of a small tattoo on her arm. It is known that the small “h” ink is an abbreviation for the name of her pet dog, Hank, symbolising Rosé’s undying love towards her furry companion.
2. Jennie’s Wrist Tattoo
Jennie was previously spotted with a large tattoo on her wrist prior to making her official K-pop debut with BLACKPINK. She sported a temporary tattoo on her wrist with the words “Stay Strong” designed in cursive, which presumably served as a self-encouragement message especially during her tough trainee days. After she debuted, the tattoo was no longer visible.
3. Jisoo’s Heart-shaped Tattoo
Contrary to her sweet and “fragile” image, it’s interesting to know that the “Flower” singer actually has a strong and assertive personality. Back in December 2022, fans spotted a heart-shaped tattoo inked on her right upper ribs. Although it is hidden beneath her clothes, the tattoo is still noticable when she moves. It’s safe to say that the heart symbol holds a special meaning to Jisoo, as she also incorporates them in her official autograph.
4. Lisa’s Edelweiss Tattoo
Similar to her fellow members, Lisa also has a meaningful tattoo. Last month, the Thai idol sparked a frenzy after she was spotted with a new ink on her body. The 26-year-old entertainer got a tattoo of her favourite flower, the edelweiss. The white flower with star-shaped petals symbolises devotion and toughness, which perfectly suits the image of the “Money” rapper.
Which of these BLACKPINK members’ tats are your favourite?
