The video has garnered up to 313k views on the platform at the time of writing. Scrolling through the comments, many netizens reacted negatively to the “I Love Your Mr. Clown” actress’s scantily clad clothes. Not to mention, there were also a few perverted netizens who sexualised Yuna’s physique. Following that, Yuna has since turned off the comments section on the aforementioned TikTok post.
She also appeared in an interview with mStar to address the controversy. The 28-year-old celeb explained that the video was filmed prior to the holy month. According to Yuna, “Everything was planned by the management team. I only picked my own outfits. I also wore a pantyhose. It will be a lie if my legs appear looking so fair like that. Previously, I filmed a commercial wearing a dress, but a lot of people weren’t aware of it because it was not filmed during Ramadan.”
The local celeb also apologised for offending people with her inappropriate outfits. “I would like to apologise for my mistake, as well as for my appearance. I’m still trying to improve myself,” Yuna told the portal. She also said that she refused to entertain those who left negative comments towards her. “I’m not their wife or their sister. They’re acting like I belong to them,” the Penang-born star said.
“Most of them left rude and insulting remarks, so that’s why I decided to turn off the comments section on the post. I’m saddened by these people who put judgment on others as if they are God. They need to know that life is like a wheel. It’s better for them to focus on their families first,” Yuna concluded in the interview.
