After the recent animal abuse case where a young man was caught setting a dog on fire, we definitely need something wholesome to remind us of humanity. Thankfully, most people are kind to animals and we’ve seen one person who took the trouble to feed some stray dogs in his area.

Today, we came across another person who showed compassion towards a small defenseless creature and it looks like his good deeds were very much appreciated. Watch:

TikTok user @aleisapereira4 or Amelyn posted a video on her channel of an incident she witnessed while she was driving near SS13, Subang Jaya. The video showed a tiny kitten running in the middle of a road while trying to get away from the moving vehicles. As mentioned in the captions, the driver had planned on saving the kitten herself but unfortunately for her, someone beat her to the chase.

A Grab rider swooped in and momentarily park his bike at the side of the road to rescue the poor feline. The rider can be seen picking the kitten up to safely place it on the pavement over the fence, away from harm. As the delivery person was about to be on his way, the adorable creature was seen walking from underneath the fence to be with its hero, basically “adopting” him as its owner.

The rider quickly gave in and took the kitten with him, carefully holding it as he rides on his bike. The ridiculously cute encounter drew a lot of attention from netizens as the video has now reached 8 million views, 1.5 million likes, and 9.6k comments at the time of writing. Netizens praised the Grab rider for saving the kitten while others suggested that Amelyn should’ve chased after the rider to adopt the kitten herself.

As seen in the screenshot above, Grab Malaysia even reached out to the TikToker to ask for more info on the rider to possibly award him for his heroic deeds. At the time of writing, there is currently no info on what the Grab rider actually did with the kitten after the encounter but let’s hope that it’s now in a safe and loving home.
