We celebrated Air Max Day 2023 with JD Sports at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, where the newly-launched Nike Air Max Pulse was unveiled. It. Was. SICK… and so was the event, which was filled with dope performance by local artistes and totally stoked sneakerheads. Truly, the undisputed king of… events!

We Hung Out With The New BMW XM
Aren’t there too many Raya events going on right now? Don’t get us wrong, we love celebrating the festivities, but you know what else we love? A sweet new ride to balik kampung in! We were at Sentul Depot to witness the unveiling of the first-ever BMW XM! Unfortunately, the new shiny vehicle won’t be in Malaysia until June, but who are we to stop anyone from planning their Raya celebration next year, right?
As you can see, the car is a stunner – and not only that, it’s also more powerful than ever, with superb agility. If you want one that matches your outfits, it’ll be available in Cape York Green, Carbon Black, Marina Bay Blue, Toronto Red, Mineral White, Black Sapphire and Dravit Grey!

We Broke Fast, IKEA-Style!
We got to buka puasa at IKEA during its #RiangRiaRaiBersama IKEA, alongside renowned Chefs Abang Brian and Dr Ezani. The chefs shared their simple recipes, created in collaboration with IKEA Malaysia for Ramadan and Raya; and led an exciting cooking activity for us using iconic ingredients from Swedish Food Market!
Chef Abang Brian shared his take on the beloved IKEA meatballs – the Meatball Rendang, which only takes 30-minutes to make! On the sweeter side, Masterchef Malaysia winner and Pastribella Bakeshop owner Chef Dr. Ezani shared his recipe for Chocolate cake using only 5 ingredients. It was all TOO MUCH FUN!

Viva La vivo V27 5G!
vivo launched their latest smartphone – the vivo V27 5G – recently, and needless to say, it was a very glamourous affair. Plenty of influencers and celebrities present during the launch looked amazing that night. And thanks to the advanced camera on the vivo V27 5G, they looked amazing on camera too! We can certainly understand why all the camera phones were going off incessantly, with celebs like fashion model Jolin Chia, and DJ Riesa Anne to actress Yumi Wong (黃詩棋) in attendance.

We Got ‘Together’ With Pavilion KL

We were already feeling the Hari Raya vibes with Pavilion KL’s new campaign for the festive season, aptly called “Raya Togetherness”. After being launched by the Sultanah of Terengganu, Sultanah Nur Zahirah, we were treated to the “Glam Raya Fashion Show”, which showcased the latest designs from famous brands like Jovian Mandagie, Radzuan Radziwill, Variante and also Junior Lookbook, which are all available exclusively at Pavilion KL. Pavilion KL’s “Raya Togetherness” campaign is currently happening until 24th April 2023.

Intermark Made A Festive Mark On Us
We attended the launch of Intermark Mall’s Raya launch, “Weaving Raya”, which was held on 29th March. Intricately woven decorations caught our eyes, with plenty of spots that offered IG opportunities. The launch also featured a master weaver, Pn Asmah binti Ismail, who bedazzled us with her weaving skills. In addition to a welcome speech by Pavilion REIT Mall’s Director of Marketing, Kung Suan Ai, we were also treated to performances by the students of Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur.

Kampung Vibing At Suria KLCC
We were truly dazzled by Suria KLCC’s launch of its Raya campaign. The mall had gone ALL OUT – and the results are EPIC! We almost missed the buka puasa feast, as we were too busy eyeing the festive decor!
For those who aren’t going to balik kampung, fret not, because Suria KLCC has set up a traditional Kampung Nelayan (Fishing Village) at the centre court, spotlighting the wooden rumah kampung (village house). There’s also an interactive wayang kulit that offers a hands-on experience of moving and controlling the traditional shadow puppets. In addition, shoppers can take part in nostalgic childhood games such as teng teng (hopscotch), gasing (spinning top), and congkak. Meanwhile, installed Esplanade KLCC, is Malaysia’s biggest “Lampu Pelita” replica. The impressive 50-ft Pelita had previously made it into the Malaysia Book of Records.

And We Spent Time With Tony
It’s the question that often pops up – “Where to eat?“, “What to eat?“. Tony Roma’s latest campaign – aptly called Tony Roma’s Lah – is the answer to your head-scratching problem. Celebrity chef Fazley Yaakob was present at Tony Roma’s Melawati Mall to officiate the launch and introduce the new promotion for this Ramadan season.
The restaurant chain has curated new value meals that are meant to be shared with family and friends. Under the latest Roma’s Platters, you’ve got The Lamb + Soda Tower and Beef + Soda Tower set that offers the world-famous Australian Lamb Ribs and the juicy Australian Beef Ribs. This platter also comes with Roasted Half Chicken with smokey mango sauce, the mouth-watering Signature Kickin’ Shrimp, and a side of aromatic mendhi rice, broccoli, Crispy Onion Ring, and 1.5L Soda Tower.
