Earlier this month, local influencer and content creator Qiu Wen (秋雯) released her first solo single, “第六感 (Sixth Sense)”. It was surprising to some as it was a step out of her comfort zone. And while most supported her latest endeavour, there were those who scorned her efforts.
Qiu Wen is no stranger to being criticised. Be it for her character, her job or even just her lifestyle, she’s heard it all. However, despite all the flak she gets, Qiu Wen is fairly happy with her journey. After hearing her explain it, it’s clear to see why.
The budding artist recently shared her thoughts on the issue during an interview with Xuan. “I don’t think the problem is me,” Qiu Wen stated, referring to the negative comments directed at her. “After so long, everyone understand that I have changed and made breakthroughs. These labels are no longer on me. My latest labels are my songs and my positive energy.”
Qiu Wen admitted that it had affected her initially, especially after certain situations in her life. “At that time, I didn’t understand the situation. I was a bit silly and ignorant,” she added. However, things changed when she stopped paying attention to said comments. Her agent’s guidance helped too, as it changed her mentality about the herself and the world.
Well, she’s certainly come a long way since starting off as a model! Qiu Wen once shared that she had initially planned to be a pre-school teacher. However, she has found passion in what she’s doing now. “I feel a sense of accomplishment when I see (my) works,” she shared. But, being a model hadn’t been easy in the beginning. It certainly didn’t help that her parents initially weren’t supportive of her job.
“My mother used to say she would not support me,” Qiu Wen stated. Her father too had once chased away a photographer who came to get her for a job. However, Qiu Wen soon realised that her mother was quietly supporting her when she helped her gather newspaper clippings for a competition at 15. The rest of her family later came to accept her dreams, especially after one of her advertisements went viral.
Still, there’s no denying that Qiu Wen’s previous romantic relationship had played a huge part in being noticed. Since then, the influencer has been focusing more on her career. But, she recently shared that she hopes to marry before the age of 29 or 30. “If I have the opportunity, (I’d like) to have three or four kids,” Qiu Wen added.
The 27-year-old recently shared what she’s looking for in a guy, adding that she hopes for someone responsible who can care for her. As for her end, she says she’ll aim to “manage (herself) well” and “be an excellent, emotionally stable lover“.
When asked if she will be revealing future partners on her socials, Qiu Wen claimed she would be cautious about it. “(We’ll) probably keep a low profile first and maybe make it public when (our relationship) is ready and stable, but I’m not sure,” she stated.
As always, Qiu Wen isn’t going to stop after one achievement. Looking to the future, she shared that she hopes to take on acting as her next challenge. However, in terms of her daily life, she simply hopes to keep healthy. Well, we wish her well in her endeavours and hope her dreams will come true!
