We’re always encouraged to dream big, but most of us are skeptical about whether we can actually achieve those dreams. Well, influencer Jenn Chia aka @soimjenn’s latest story proves that dreams do, in fact, come true!
In February, Jenn was lucky enough to catch the attention of the one and only Stephen Chow (周星馳). In fact, Stephen actually offered Jenn an opportunity to meet him. At the time, Jenn had asked fans for help in getting Stephen’s attention to plan a meet, and a month later, Jenn shared that her wish was granted!
Just yesterday (27th March), Jenn shared some very good news with her fans. “I met Stephen Chow!” Jenn cheered on Instagram. “Thank you for making my dream come true!” Jenn showed a quick video of her trip to Hong Kong to meet Stephen and it was clear she was very excited about it.
From the time she boarded the plane to walking the streets of Hong Kong, Jenn was practically buzzing with energy. “My dream is about to happen, yo!” she squealed in the film. That excitement only grew the second she actually got to meet the legend himself.
Stephen was seen signing an autograph for Jenn as promised, with the local influencer witnessing the scene with bated breath. Even better, she got to have lunch with Stephen which she described as a “delicious Teochew meal”. “And I’m still in disbelief,” Jenn added over her squeals in the video. The moment overwhelmed Jenn so much, she was later seen tearing up.

Jenn shared in her Instagram Story that she has been staying mum about the meet for a while now. “I wanted to respect his (Stephen’s) privacy,” Jenn stated. “When we were given the green light to share, I couldn’t wait to thank all of you who helped me make this dream come alive!!!!! Thank you, thank you thank you!!!!”
Her post garnered much envy and congrats from fans and friends as many were happy for her. Fellow influencers Phei Yong and Chang Yong were seen teasing Jenn with “You win liau” and “Powerrr“. Others expressed their own shock and delight that Jenn was lucky enough to meet the Hong Kong star.
Stephen himself seem pleased to have met Jenn. He later reposted Jenn’s post on his Instagram with the simple phrase, “Happy to see you“. Needless to say, we’re pretty certain that acknowledgement made Jenn’s day all over again.
We can’t possibly imagine how much that meet meant to Jenn. After all, Jenn is famously known for her sincerity and brand of humour, so it must have been monumental for her to meet one of her idols at last. Congrats Jenn!
