Two local celebs – Kilafairy and Nadia Brian – have found themselves facing the wrath of netizens with the outfits worn by them at a public event recently.
Kilafairy took to her Instagram to share some pics taken during her appearance at the ZALORAYA 2023 event last week. The daughter of the legendary singer Rohana Jalil looked oh-so-fabulous in a see-through kebaya from local designer house Afiq M.
The “Saiful Nita” star also wore a nude-coloured top underneath the traditional outfit. Scrolling through the comments, many netizens reacted negatively to the former “Akademi Fantasia” contestant’s choice of clothing during the fashion event. Most of them argued that the dress was too “inappropriate” for her hijab-clad image.
In addition, some fans also advised Kilafairy to dress more modestly. “You look naked in that innerwear. Islam forbids us from wearing skin-coloured clothes,” one netizen wrote. Another added, “Please maintain your modest image properly.”

Meanwhile, Nadia Brian turned heads with her ensemble at the “Anugerah Drama Sangat 2023” event last night (Sunday, 12th March). During the event, DSV was spotted walking down the red carpet in a classic black-and-white number by Nizam Zamil. For those who are curious, he’s the same designer who crafted Janna Nick’s controversial sequined dress.
That said, many netizens couldn’t take their eyes off the black satin skirt worn by Nadia. Some even left hilarious remarks poking fun at the outfit. They left comments such as, “My child told me this, ‘Her skirt is falling down!’ 😂😂,” “The designer probably forgot to attach the lower skirt to the upper part of the dress,” “The skirt itself looks like a pair of socks,” plus “Don’t make me call the Makcik (Madam Mariah) to knock some sense into you.”
