Cosmetic treatments or surgeries are quite common these days, especially in the entertainment industry. In many societies, including Malaysia, these sort of treatments are frowned upon so most people would keep it on the down low but one actress recently shared that she has nothing to be ashamed of for going under the knife.
Actress and model Fara Mendoza is no stranger to criticism as she was previously called out for posting sexy photos on Instagram and was even rumoured to be involved in prostitution and drug cases. The Malaysian celeb recently spoke with Gempak earlier this week about the allegations she received about getting cosmetic surgeries on her face.
The 33-year-old admitted that she actually did get cosmetic surgeries to enhance her beauty and is not ashamed of it. According to the actress, she had work done on parts of her face which were her nose, lips, and jaw. The public figure told the news outlet that she’s always been open about sharing her life on social media and being honest to her followers.
“If anyone accuses me of getting a nose job, then so what? It’s my money! and yes, I have done Rhinoplasty and lip augmentation,” said the “Autumn In Whales” star. When asked about the cost of her cosmetic treatments, the controversial celeb chose not to answer but instead shared that she does invest in self-care every month.

“I will always want to feel beautiful. Beauty is important to me and I do it for myself. So what’s wrong with pampering myself after a hard day’s work, right?” she told Gempak. In regards to the backlash she’s received from netizens, the celebrity entrepreneur revealed that she doesn’t care what others think and will continue to be herself.
Is Fara on an extended hiatus from movies and TV? The local celeb answered that although she does accept roles from time to time, she is currently focus on expanding her cosmetic products business. “I’m still acting. I just finished filming a drama called ‘Topeng’. I’ll accept a project whenever I feel like I can give my full commitment to it,” she elaborated.
Whether you agree with her decisions in life or not, the actress has made it very clear that she’d prefer if everyone else just mind their own business. As the star said, it is her life and money after all.
