Malaysian trans celebrity Nur Sajat has been relatively “quiet” this past month. Apart from running and promoting her new beauty business in Australia, she’s also been trying to be more active doing live streams on Facebook as she previously mentioned last year.
Although the entrepreneur seems to be doing well for herself in the land down under, there’s still no escaping from criticism from her homeland. Recently, Nur Sajat Legacy Cosmetics released its brand new lingerie collection, and the promotional video is getting all kinds of reactions.
Last night (Sunday, 19th February), Nur Sajat posted a very steamy video on her Instagram promoting her company’s new lingerie collection with a caption that reads, “GET READY OUR NEW [LINGERIE] COLLECTION! DIVERSITY AND EQUALITY 🏳️‍⚧️!” In the video, the founder was seen provocatively posing in several pieces from the brand’s collection.
Judging by the caption, the collection is meant to be inclusive to women from all walks of life, especially trans women like the entrepreneur herself. At the time of writing, the self-made promotional video has reached 290k views, 8.2k likes, and nearly 900 comments. While there were netizens who support and are looking forward to the new release, many were quite shocked about the video.
Malaysian netizens held nothing back and criticised the 37-year-old for modelling in lingerie, with some labelling the video as pornographic material while others left some very inappropriate and transphobic comments.

Nur Sajat then took the time to respond to some of the backlash she received saying, “So what? Who cares? What if I did become a porn star? Are you going to report to JAWI or JAIS and get me arrested? Be my guest! I’m (an) Australian now.” The controversial celeb also encouraged haters to unfollow her if they don’t like the content she posts.
From that statement, it’s clear that there’s no point in arguing with the entrepreneur as she’s also technically not breaking any rules in Australia. What do you think about this whole situation?
