There’s no denying that BLACKPINK is one of the most successful and influential K-pop girl groups of all time. It shouldn’t be a surprise that the members are trendsetters themselves, especially Kim Jennie (김제니). Previously, the idol took COS Pavilion KL’s sales through the roof after she was spotted with the brand’s off-white quilted bag.
Other than singing, rapping, and dancing, the 27-year-old is also known for being a global ambassador for fashion brands such as Chanel and Calvin Klein. Speaking of the latter, netizens can’t get enough of the BLACKPINK member’s latest promotional photos.

Yesterday (Thursday, 16th February), fashion brand Calvin Klein posted several photos and videos on Instagram of K-pop IT Girl Jennie Kim posing for the 90s-inspired #MyCalvin Spring promotional campaign. The stunning black and white photos showed the Korean beauty sporting some bangs and looking ethereal in the fashion brand’s clothes and undergarments.
The “SOLO” singer even posted some of these photos herself on her personal Instagram. The postings from both accounts garnered many positive reactions from BLINKS with many praising the idol for her looks. This was obviously not the first time the BLACKPINK main rapper collaborated with the brand as she’s been featured in multiple campaigns including the “The Language of Calvin Klein” collection last year.

While Jennie received mostly praise for her new Calvin Klein photos, another fellow idol did not receive the same love. Girl group NewJeans recently announced on their official Instagram that member Minji (민지) is the new brand ambassador for Chanel Korea. However, even though censored, netizens noticed that the girl group’s main dancer was wearing Calvin Klein’s underwear in one of the photos of the announcement post.
Bunnies (NewJeans’ fandom name) criticised the idol group’s company ADOR and HYBE for lack of professionalism in the announcement post as the singer was seen wearing another brand’s clothing and that Chanel Korea has yet to make an official announcement which could affect the 18-year-old’s career.

At the time of writing, neither ADOR, HYBE nor Chanel Korea has released an official statement regarding the announcement post though we have to agree that if Minji was to be announced as a brand ambassador, she should be wearing only the brand’s clothes in an announcement post to avoid confusion and possible conflict.
