In this day and age, it’s hard to miss how popular anime is now. However, most are still certain you can’t make anything from being interested in anime. As it turns out, cosplayer and model Hakken (八犬) has proven them wrong.
Hakken, or better known by their Instagam handle, _hakkencoser_, is a popular cosplayer from Miri, Sarawak. Famous for accurately cosplaying characters from various shows, Hakken’s talent has impressed many. In fact, their cosplaying talent recently led them to being selected as a Tokyo Tourism Ambassador!
The 25-year-old began their cosplaying journey in 2010. They have since amassed over millions of followers on their socials. It’s easy to see why; a quick glance at Hakken’s photos will have one easily enraptured by their looks! Hakken’s cosplaying talent has certainly gained them popularity among fans. But, they were also recently chosen to be a Tokyo Tourism Ambassador by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) of Japan.
Apparently, the inauguration ceremony was held on 13th February. According to the official Tokyo tourism Twitter account, the ambassadors will “spread the diverse charms of Tokyo both domestically and internationally“. “The PR activities of the 16 ambassadors will start today!” they added.

Hakken has since updated their status on their socials’ bios. Additionally, fans and friends have been congratulating Hakken on the honour of being appointed as a Tokyo Tourism Ambassador. We too would like to offer them our sincerest congratulations!
