It’s official: Concert season is back, baby! Last year, we got to rock on to some amazing live concerts and shows by local and international artistes. This year is gonna be no different! Find out all the upcoming concerts that are happening this year in Malaysia here.
For many, this year could be your first time going to a concert, and as we all know, concerts are crowded, loud, and cramped, so it could be a scary experience for some. That’s why it’s always a good idea to go prepared – since you never know what might happen during a concert. Here are 6 essentials to bring to a concert, aside from your concert ticket, your identity card, and your phone (obvi).
Handheld Mini Fan
One thing about concerts in Malaysia is that they’re HOT. So, if you’re going to a concert that’s taking place outdoors, it’s best to get yourself a mini fan to keep yourself cool. Find one that is compact, has a long battery life, and can be easily brought wherever you go.
Disposable Poncho
Lugging around a bulky raincoat or umbrella just in case it might rain is annoying, especially if you’re in a crowded place and all you wanna do is rock it out. So instead, put some disposable ponchos in your bag. Find those that are super compact so they don’t take up too much space in your pocket or bag. Make sure to bring a couple extra for your friends too!
Portable Power Bank

One thing that you can expect when going to a concert in the 21st century is that you’ll be filming A LOT of it. It’s understandable! You just wanna document the moment so you can look back on it in the future. That’s why it’s essential to bring a portable power bank that’s able to give you at least one full charge!
Safety Pins
You probably already have an outfit planned in your head, and it could be something revealing or has a high possibility of a wardrobe malfunction. You’re gonna be moving around a lot, and be squeezed with other people, so make sure to bring some safety pins just in case anything happens.
Venue-Approved Bag

It’s not unusual for concerts to prohibit fans from bringing large bags. In some cases, they would prefer that your bag be smaller than the size of an A4 paper. But this depends on the SOPs of each concert. So, to be safe, you can bring a clear bag to hold small things like your phone and your wallet, and remember to measure your bag size before you go.
Mini Emergency Kit
There’s always a chance of getting some minor injuries, or even headaches when you’re at a concert. It instantly kills the fun, and you wouldn’t be having fun for the rest of the time. Make sure to have some pain reliever, band aids and antiseptic wipes in your mini first aid kit. Girls, remember to bring sanitary pads just in case it’s that time of the month!
