The internet can be a ‘scary’ place. So, some platforms have started attempting to regulate their content. This is especially true for streaming sites like YouTube and Twitch. Unsurprisingly, platforms like these are usually pretty strict about their guidelines. As such, some streamers will occasionally get banned for testing their limits.
Take Kiaraakitty (啊貓咪) for example. Recently, the Singapore-based streamer has been touring Taiwan with her followers. For the most part, it’s just been Kiaraakitty showing them the sights of the city. Unfortunately, that ended when the streamer got banned for eating a sausage suggestively while scantily dressed!
Last week, the Hong Kong-born content creator revealed that she was abroad and would be streaming from Taiwan. So, on 22nd January, fans were understandably excited as Kiaraakitty roped them into her tour of the area. While visiting certain attractions there, the streamer also made sure to stop by the night market. And that was supposedly where she met her downfall.
Kiaraakitty had apparently gotten peckish during the tour and bought some food for herself. The streamer then reportedly selected a large sausage to nibble on while continuing her stream. She also tweeted a photo of herself in what looked like a pink bra top while posing with the sausage. “Taiwan sausages are so yummy,” she captioned. “Thank you everyone for being there today!”
Shortly afterwards, automated Twitter account StreamerBans dropped an update. It read: “Twitch Partner “Kiaraakitty” has been banned!” Kiaraakitty’s Twitch channel was also notably made unavailable. When accessed, there was a notice claiming the channel had violated Twitch’s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service.
Most of Kiaraakitty’s fans and friends weren’t happy with the ban. But, others were more understanding. After all, Twitch is known for cracking down on footage involving nudity and sexually suggestive content. This is mainly because many of their viewers are underaged.
Well, we can see why this would be an old song and dance to the streamer. According to StreamerBans, this was Kiaraakitty’s fourth ban. Previously, she had allegedly broke Twitch’s sexual conduct rules when she and four other women wore bikinis during a hot tub stream.
However, the ban supposedly hasn’t affected Kiaraakitty too much! The streamer has still been fairly active on her socials, and has been busy promoting her OnlyFans content. Additionally, an anonymous donor apparently gifted her $8,888, which has made Kiaraakitty very happy.
Luckily for her, Kiaraakitty was unbanned today (27th January). Although she is now allowed to continue streaming on Twitch, GameRant reported that she is considering quitting Twitch for other platforms, like TikTok. But, only time will tell we suppose!
