Chef Wan’s 93yo Mom Cik Ani Passes Away In Her Sleep

Today is a sad day for Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, or better known as Chef Wan. Earlier this morning, it was revealed that his mom, Noranini Abdullah (or Cik Ani), has sadly passed away in her sleep. She was 93 years old.

Chef Wan’s mother had been battling dementia and cancer for quite a while. She was admitted to the Gleneagles Hospital in KL a couple of weeks ago, when her condition had worsened. He has been keeping his followers updated on her health condition, right until her passing this morning.

Chef Wan took to his Instagram to deliver the sad news to his followers online. “Indeed, to God we belong and to God we shall return. With great sadness i here comfirmed my dearest mom had passed away at 6.20am peacefully in her sleep at the Gleneagle hospital this morning. May her soul rest in peace, all of her sins are forgiven, and be placed among the righteous. God willing,” he revealed in his post.

He added, “Her body will be prepared for burial at Masjid Putra di Dataran Putrajaya and lay to rest at tanah perkuburan orang Islam in Cyberjaya 10 perhaps after Zuhor prayer today. Her body will leave Gleneagle hospital approximately 10.30am to 11am latest to the Putrajaya Mosque. Thank you so much for all your kind wishes and prayers for my mother.”
