One of the most difficult things to do nowadays is to be different, especially if you want to be a content creator. Fendymojo is one creator that you’d rarely see anywhere else in Malaysia and here’s why:
Surprisingly, we don’t have that many automotive content creators in Malaysia. In a tweet by content creator Fendymojo, he explained why he chose his modified Perodua Bezza as his content. “In Malaysia, you’ll see a lot of food reviews, pranks, cooking, and holiday vlog content. They’re trending and it’s easy for more people to copy from one another,” he tweeted. The influencer also added that he hardly sees any content on modified vehicles which is why he chose to modify his car.
“I don’t have any examples or references so it was difficult for me to create a niche and identity,” he elaborated. The tweet came with a photo to promote his TikTok channel which currently has 2 million followers. The TikToker’s tweet was actually a response to another netizen’s tweet who criticised the lack of original ideas among Malaysian content creators.
After posting his opinion, netizens agreed with Fendymojo about the lack of original content by Malaysian creators. Many replied to his tweet agreeing that his content of modified vehicles does help him stand out. Some say that they’ve become more invested in cars after being ‘poisoned’ by the influencers’ videos. Others even joked that they can hear his voice and catchphrase while reading his tweet, proving the fact that he’s indeed different from the rest.
Whether you’re a fan of Fendymojo or not, you can’t deny that he’s certainly doing something that you don’t see very often on TikTok.
