Call us biased, but you simply cannot beat any food found in Asian countries. While some may not be your cup of tea, you can’t deny that most traditional dishes in Asian countries are simply out of this world. If you’re a foodie, then you must love the excitement of trying new delicacies whenever you travel abroad.
While we’re on the subject of foodies, influencer Ceddy Ang or @CeddyOrNot is known to share all the best places to eat in Malaysia on his social media. It’s fine if you disagree with his choices, as you have your own preferences, but one particular netizen felt the need to cross the line and make a rude remark about the food he was eating. Here’s what happened:
Food vlogger Ceddy is no stranger to calling people out for their inappropriate and disgusting behaviour. Yesterday (Monday, 26th December), the influencer tweeted a photo of his cup of instant noodles mixed with some minced chicken, sausages, and egg to give it that extra flavour. Most replies were positive – but one netizen who goes by @Diana11261954 chose to be vile and replied with, “Now that’s gross”.
Finding the comment to be unacceptable, the content creator responded by tweeting, “You are from Las Vegas, NV. You are used to bland, flavorless, plain, unseasoned, unsavory food such as boiled turkey with no salt/seasoning you have no business commenting on MY food. Do not come for my food.” He also added that while he’s certain the user is just a troll account, he still wants to get his message across.
The 34-year-old got into an argument with the Twitter troll who claimed to be half-Japanese and half-Irish, but it seems they’ll never come to an agreement. Fortunately for the influencer, many came to his defense, saying that the troll simply has no taste.
I will NOT accept opinion/ criticism/ jokes about OUR food especially if you’re someone who never visited or even heard of our country.
You wish your food is as flavorful and super diverse like ours. pic.twitter.com/czSZXvDLUs

Ceddy then posted a photo of him enjoying a meal with a caption that reads, “I will NOT accept opinion/ criticism/ jokes about OUR food especially if you’re someone who never visited or even heard of our country. You wish your food is as flavorful and super diverse [as] ours.”
Regardless of who is right or wrong in this argument, let this be a reminder that if you have nothing nice to say about someone’s cooking or a country’s food, it’s best to keep your opinion to yourself.
